Free Alabama Tele-Seminar On Wrongful Foreclosures

We are holding a tele-seminar on Tuesday January 19th at 4pm CST to discuss issues related to Alabama foreclosures. We will cover the three stages of foreclosures in Alabama and we will go indepth into the issues we laid out in our article on Wrongful Foreclosures In Alabama.

We previously held several in person seminars but we have decided to do it by phone to make it more convenient as you can attend from the privacy of your own home or office or car (stay warm!).

This is designed to give you insight into what your options are if you are facing foreclosure or have already been foreclosed upon by your mortgage company. Very often you have a valid lawsuit or counterclaim against the mortgage company, trustee, or servicer and this tele-seminar will give you some ideas and will help you to take the necessary action to protect your home.

We will also discuss bankruptcy as an option (sometimes it is a good option but often it is better to sue) to stop a wrongful foreclosure.

While you don't have to live in Alabama to attend this seminar, it is focused on Alabama law and will be most helpful to folks living in Alabama.

We look forward to having you on the call - fill out this form below and we will send you the details such as the call in number and password to use to join the call.

If you would rather call us instead of filling out this form that is fine - please call us at 205-879-2447.

Free Tele-Seminar On Fighting Back Against Abusive Debt Collectors

Due to a great amount of interest, we have decided to hold a free teleseminar on Tuesday, November 24, 2009, at 7 pm CST. This will be the first in a series of seminars that you can attend from the comfort of your home, office, or car (be safe if driving....).

Our first one will be on "How To Fight Back Against Abusive Debt Collectors" and in this hour long discussion we will share with you some ideas on how to use both State law and Federal law to protect yourself from debt collectors who cross the line. Based upon the types of cases coming into our office that result in lawsuits being filed against collection agencies, and based upon the number of calls and emails we receive, debt collection abuse is not slowing down any - instead it is picking up. This seminar will help you understand your rights and options in fighting back against these types of collectors who don't play fair.

There is no charge to attend. Those who register will also receive a bonus four part email series that will expand upon the ideas in the seminar.

Here are some of the topics we will cover:

When does the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act apply?
Can a debt collector contact my neighbors? Family? Co-workers? Friends? References?
If a debt collector breaks the law, can I recover money damages against the collector?
How do I make a debt collector take false information off of my credit report?
Should I record calls from a debt collector?
Are voicemails from debt collectors illegal?
Can a debt collector call my cell phone?
There will be other topics we will cover - I don't know what those are because I need for you to come up with them!

We would like your questions and suggestions - please send those in to us before the call and then you can also ask questions during the call.

We are very excited about doing this and trust this will be very helpful for anyone who is dealing with a debt collector. There is nothing wrong with a debt collector collecting a debt. As long as the laws are followed. So join us and learn more about the laws and what your options are when collectors turn abusive.

Fill out the sign up form below so that you can reserve one of the limited spots on this call.

Free Seminar Thursday February 19, 2009 On Debt Buyer Lawsuits

There has been a huge increase in debt buyer lawsuits against Alabama consumers, particularly in Shelby, Jefferson, and the surrounding counties. There are only so many people we can meet with one at a time so next Thursday, February 19, 2009, at 4 PM, we are offering a free seminar/workshop for individuals who have been sued by a debt buyer and who are not out of time to answer the lawsuit.

At this seminar (in the main conference room at our office) we will discuss the vulnerabilities of debt buyers in their lawsuits that the debt buyers don't want you to know about. Virtually every debt buyer lawsuit filed is filed with NO proof and the collection lawyer does not even have the proof at their office. At trial the normal pattern is for debt buyers to show up with no witness, no documents, no proof of any type - in short no support for the allegations made in the lawsuit. Debt buyers will sue for breach of contract but then will admit at trial they don't even have the contract! It still amazes us to see this.... We will also discuss other little known secrets that debt buyers don't want you to know as they understand knowledge that is acted upon is power. They want you to be power-less, not powerful.

At this seminar we will go over these types of matters and then we will have time to individually meet with you for one on one consultations.

If you would like to attend this seminar, contact us right now as space is limited and we expect to be filled up by Monday.

We look forward to seeing you next Thursday at 4 pm.
